HR/Office Administrator

Reporting to and working closely with the Executive team, the HR Administrator will be responsible for many varied functions involved in the operation of a non-profit child care organization. This is a permanent full-time in-person position, primarily on site at our Winchester head office, but at times at our child care locations.
Compensation includes Health Benefits (after 3 months) and a Group RRSP program (after one year).
Hourly wage commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Ensure staff receive all protections and considerations as required by the Employment Standards Act, Ontario Human Rights Act, Occupational Health and Safety, and any other relevant legislation
• Foster positive relationships and communication with employees
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, scheduling interviews, reviewing resumes
• Ensure employee health benefits are properly managed and employee information is up-to-date
• Ensure accurate employee records and participation in the organization’s Group RRSP program
• Manage staff files
• Ensure proper procedures are followed in WSIB matters
• Participate in job fairs and other events promoting the organization
• Format documents
• Other administration duties as requiredQualifications:
• Relevant Post-secondary education
• Experience in business administration, Human Resources, Leadership, and/or Management, preferably in the non-profit sector
• Computer experience including Microsoft Office, iOS, and ability to quickly learn child care management software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience working in a fast-paced dynamic team
• Self-starter who shows initiative and recognizes the importance of flexibility and collaborating with team members
