5-Ton Moving Truck Driver & Mover

RigMac Moving is hiring a dependable and hardworking 5-Ton Moving Truck Driver & Mover to join our growing team immediately.

This position involves driving a 5-ton cube van, safely packing and securing customers’ belongings, loading and unloading furniture, and assisting with residential and commercial moves.

Responsibilities:

• Safely drive a 5-ton cube van to and from job sites
• Load, pack and secure furniture and household belongings
• Unload items carefully at their destination
• Protect customers’ homes, furniture and other belongings from damage
• Work efficiently as part of a moving crew
• Provide friendly and professional customer service
• Complete basic vehicle inspections and report any concerns
• Keep the truck, equipment and work areas clean and organized

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario G driver’s licence
• Clean driving abstract
• Dependable, punctual and ready to work
• Able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy furniture
• Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Available to work long and sometimes unpredictable hours when required
• Comfortable working early mornings, evenings and weekends as scheduled
• Able to work well with others and follow instructions

Previous moving, delivery, furniture-handling or truck-packing experience would be an asset, but it is not required. We are willing to train the right person.

Starting wage is $20 per hour, with opportunities for raises and performance bonuses.

Expected hours: No less than 1.0 per week
