Business Context
HFI has a history stretching back over 150 years – originally a manufacturer of fireworks, we are now totally focused on being the Centre of Excellence for Defence and Security Pyrotechnics. We are the new 5th member of Canada's Munitions Supply Program, and we have a growing range of products and services and customers from around the world. HFI is on the ascent, and we are looking for a Production Operator to help support the expansion of our business.

Your Challenge
As part of HFI's Production Operator, your role work on various assembly lines, as you are expected to flow to the work as necessary, learning different positions involved in manufacturing the pyrotechnic devices that HFI supplies to the military for training purposes.

7. Recognize and report safety incidents/concerns
8. Build capability in self and others
9. Eliminate losses i.e. identifying defects in parts
10. Maintain yearly Training as required
11. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
12. Ability to receive and give constructive and positive feedback
13. Excellent attendance record
14. Must be able to be mask fit tested and wear required PPE in all climate conditions
15. Must be able to sit/stand for prolonged periods of time
16. Must be able to work in different environmental conditions i.e. heat, cold, dust

Compensation
Starting hourly wage is $20.14 (Level 0). Following successful completion of probation the wage increases to $22.20 per hour (Level 1), with progression to $24.47 per hour (level 2) typically occurring after approximately one year. Benefits after 3 months. Pension after 6 months.
