PSW/Caregiver

Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated PSW/Caregivers to assist us in providIng care and support to two elderly seniors in their home. You would be assisting with ADLs, ensuring their safety and comfort, meal prep, and promote their overall well-being. At this time, we are seeking individuals to work 7am-6pm on weekends (Saturdays and alternate Sundays) guaranteed minimum 11 hours per week and additional for coverage of full time workers on weekdays. 

Duties

• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to support their independence and dignity (in support of Bayshore and Choice visits)
• Provide medication at designated times (dosette boxes)
• Prepare/reheat meals tailored to individual dietary needs (one being diabetic, one being purreed)
• Perform light housekeeping duties like cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment
• Ensure safety during transfers or repositioning with the use of a mechanical lift (training will be provided)
• Accurately document care activities and communicate any changes in condition to appropriate channels/family

Experience

• Previous assisted living or home care experience preferred, demonstrating familiarity with senior and patient care routines
• Experience working in nursing homes or hospice settings is highly valued
• Proven ability to work effectively with individuals with dementia and Alzheimer’s
• Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards
• Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Experience in cleaning, meal preparation, and general household tasks is a plus
