PART TIME DAY SUPPORT

Seeking Daytime Support for our Young Daughter

We’re looking for a star!  A special person to support us at home in for caring for our truly exceptional 4 year old daughter with complex needs.

Responsibilities would include: Feeding / hydration & supplements given by G-Tube, lifting / transferring / carrying / positioning, diaper and clothing changes, sensory activities, nature walks and grounding, assisting with therapies (gross and fine motor skills, range of motion, developing visual skills, use of augmentative communication strategies), seizure safety, keto recipe meal prep, washing feeding supplies, soothing and cuddling, accompanying us to medical appointments, meds and secretion management as needed, light housekeeping (dishes & laundry).

QUALIFICATIONS

* PSW preferred; however medical experience is not necessary — we will train the right person who is keen and has the willingness to learn!
* Valid Driver's License, must have own reliable transportation (we are rural)
* Ability to safely lift / carry / transfer / position 32+ lbs
* Comfortable with hypoallergenic dogs
* Valid First Aid + CPR

Part-time Day Support:
Monday, Tuesday (with possibility of Thursday or Friday); 10/11AM - 5/6PM

Located in Oxford Mills  |  Hourly rate: $26/hr to start

This position is managed through the Brockville and District Association for Community Involvement. The job application, interviewing, onboarding and some preliminary training would be through BDACI, but the main hands-on training would be with our family.
