Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with a focus on quality and precision. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, contributing to the assembly of high-quality products.
Duties
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters for fabrication tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Conduct rigging operations safely when lifting heavy materials using cranes or forklifts.
- Assemble components according to design specifications, ensuring accuracy in measurements using calipers and basic math skills.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process, applying mechanical knowledge effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication within a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, plasma cutting, and operating various types of machinery.
- Strong mechanical knowledge is an asset.
- Familiarity with rigging techniques and safe operation of cranes and forklifts is preferred.
- Experience with ductwork fabrication is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independent problem-solving skills.
