Description

Solacity is a 20-year old Kemptville based renewable energy supply & design small business, working to make the world a little greener. Solacity serves local customers at our store, and sells online all over Canada. We have an immediate opening for a motivated individual to help us grow our business.

Responsibilities

As a Warehouse, Shipping & Receiving Assistant you will have wide range of responsibilities, as listed but not limited to the items below:

• Picking, packing & shipping orders, helping customers load purchases, at times this can involve lifting of bulky or heavy items
• Receiving, organizing & stocking incoming inventory
• Answering the phone to answer shipping questions
• Communicate with customers regarding order pickup
• Keeping track of purchase orders & customer orders
• Keeping track of inventory, flagging low inventory, informing Purchasing of the need to order
• General building maintenance, keeping the warehouse tidy, and other janitorial duties
• General grounds maintenance, including some snow removal in winter

Position Requirements

• Physical stamina is required: The job involves being on your feet much of the time, and lifting heavy or bulky items.
• Strong communications skills, both oral and in writing, in particular via E-mail
• Good basic computer skills in using MS-Office (Excel in particular) and MS-Windows
• Independent, self-motivated, and detail oriented, with good organizational and problem solving skills
• A forklift certificate is an asset but not required, we will train if needed
• Additional computer skills (social media etc.) will be highly valued!
• A sense of humour & common sense!

We offer a great place to work! This is a full-time job, 40 hours per week, 8:30am – 5pm Monday through Friday
