Bed Maintenance Crew Members

We are looking for reliable, hardworking Bed Maintenance Crew Members to join our gardening team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical outdoor work and take pride in creating and maintaining healthy, beautiful garden beds.

As a Bed Maintenance Crew Member, you will support the care and upkeep of garden beds for residential and commercial clients. Your work will focus on hands‑on tasks such as planting, weeding, edging, mulching, and seasonal cleanups. This is a physically active, detail‑oriented role that plays a key part in maintaining vibrant and well‑kept landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform weeding, edging, raking, and cultivation in garden beds
  • Assist with planting annuals, perennials, shrubs, and small trees
  • Apply mulch, soil amendments, or compost as needed
  • Assist with spring and fall cleanup tasks, including leaf removal and debris clearing
  • Maintain clean, organized job sites
  • Follow instructions from Crew Leader and work effectively as part of a team
  • Support pruning of perennials and shrubs (training provided)
  • Handle hand tools such as rakes, shovels, trowels, and edging tools

Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Physically capable of lifting 40–50 lbs and performing repetitive labour
  • Comfortable working on hands and knees for extended periods
  • Reliable, punctual, and motivated to work hard
  • Willingness to learn plant care techniques and proper gardening practices
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with a team

Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory)

  • Experience in landscaping, gardening, or grounds maintenance
  • Familiarity with hand‑pruning tools and basic plant care
  • Knowledge of common garden plants, weeds, or soil conditions
  • Valid driver’s license
