Student Arena Attendant

Position Title: Student Arena Attendant
Reports To: Manager of Parks, Recreation & Facilities, Recreation Coordinator, Facility Operator, and Lead Hand
Wage: Minimum wage

About the Role
As a Student Arena Attendant, you’ll help with the day-to-day upkeep and safety of our arena. You’ll work under the direction of the Shift Facility Operator. Tasks are assigned at the start of each shift.

Key Duties
• Clean and monitor dressing rooms, hallways, stands, and lobbies
• Set up and take down meeting rooms
• Help with ice flooding tasks (before and after)
• Report supply needs to the Facility Operator
• Be friendly and helpful to visitors
• Other related duties as assigned

What You Need
• Be at least 15 years old
• Be currently enrolled in high school or post-secondary and returning to school
• Skating skills and hockey knowledge are an asset
• Experience with children is an asset
• First Aid/CPR (Level C) is an asset
• Positive attitude and good communication skills
• Must pass a Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
• Willing to complete required training
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Note: This is a part-time role with hours that vary based on the facility’s schedule.
