JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description: Brockville ReStore PART-TIME RETAIL ASSOCIATE

Job purpose:

Providing excellent customer service to the ReStore customers and donors, and maintaining a clean and organized store.

Job Requirements:

Must submit a Level 2 – Criminal Records and Judicial Matters check prior to employment as per our corporate policy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer Service

Assist in unloading of trucks, receiving and processing donations

Product valuation and pricing

Ensure adherence to all established policies, procedures, and Health and Safety practices

Answering the phone and customer inquiries

Operating the cash register

Light cleaning duties and other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Resolve customer complaints and ask for assistance if needed

Promote the mission of Habitat for humanity through in-store advocacy

Organize and maintain store inventory using consistent store standards and conditions

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

No work experience needed

Positive, friendly attitude

Willingness to help

Good oral communication skills

Demonstrates problem-solving skills

Microsoft Word, Excel, and Facebook experience is an asset

Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships

Able to work Saturdays

Working conditions:

The store is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, so shifts may vary. Steel toed boots are a requirement. This position will require the individual to work the cash register on Saturdays

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods of time, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Direct Reports:

Assist in directing volunteers.

Salary Range:

Starting at $17.75
