Program Supervisor – Assisted Living Services (Kemptville Catchment)
Compensation: $30-38/hour
Status: Casual, Part-Time (2–3 days/week, 20 hours-per-week minimum)
Location: Hybrid (Kemptville Office + Community)

J.W. MacIntosh Community Support Services (JWMACCSS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Program Supervisor to support our Assisted Living Services (ALS) program in Kemptville. This new role is part of a strategic restructuring aimed at streamlining care, strengthening community partnerships and aligning supports with regional health resources.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Health Services, the Program Supervisor will manage day-to-day operations, staff coordination, client onboarding, discharges, and reassessments for the Kemptville ALS program. This position supports our mission to help seniors live independently and safely in their own homes. The role is part of a strategic initiative to focus care within a specific geographic region, strengthen community relationships, and
enhance staff support. The Supervisor will handle intake, assessments, and ensure client care is delivered in accordance with organizational and funder requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the ALS program in Kemptville, overseeing day-to-day operations
Conduct new client intakes, assessments, and care plan development
Manage client discharges and reassessments.
Supervise PSW scheduling and performance
Collaborate closely with local health teams, Senior Support Services, and the hospital
Complete documentation and reporting requirements for program and funders
Participate in the on-call rotation for urgent program matters (shared coverage)
Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for staff and clients.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) licensed with the CNO
Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in a community or health setting
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Experience with client assessments and service planning
Knowledge of client-centered and aging-at-home models of care
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Working Conditions:
This is a hybrid role requiring a combination of in-office presence and community
site visits.
Must be available to travel within the Kemptville catchment area.
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for urgent matters, reassessments, or staff coverage
Participation in the on-call rotation is required.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
