Working Site Foreman

Job Description
Execute carpentry requirements in accordance with the building and safety codes and the architectural plans and specifications for each project assigned.

Type of Carpentry:

• Rough carpentry, steel stud and wood framing, and finish carpentry.
• Building exteriors: siding and trim.
• Install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install interior trim items, such as doors, stairs, moldings and hardware.

Specific Skills:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to understand the specifications and execute the requirements of the project.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.

Responsibilities:

• Assign the appropriate work to each team member based on the skills required for specific tasks.
• Manage the efficiency and the quality of the work of all team members on site. Set daily production goals and work alongside the team to achieve the goal.
• Identify and or manage design issues in collaboration with the customer’s Site Supervisor.
• At the end of each day direct staff to clean up all work areas and return materials to the designated locations.
• At the end of each day, look forward to plan the work for the days that follow identifying any additional staff or material requirements.
• Ensure all staff are following safety regulations and Rycraft safety policies,
• Conduct safety talks with all staff on site weekly.

A driver’s license and vehicle are a must.
