Carpenter

Execute carpentry requirements in accordance with the building and safety codes and the architectural plans and specifications for each project assigned.

Type of Carpentry:

• Rough carpentry, steel stud and wood framing, and finish carpentry.
• Building exteriors: siding and trim.
• Install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install interior trim items, such as doors, stairs, moldings and hardware.

Specific Skills:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to understand the specifications and execute the requirements of your scope of work.

Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Mentor apprentices and junior carpenters as required.
• Clean up your work area at the end of each day and return materials to the designated locations.

A driver’s license and vehicle are a must.
