Job Description:
Little Barcelona is seeking a dedicated Cook to join the team. This role is ideal for someone with a couple of years of kitchen experience who is eager to learn and grow under the guidance of an Executive Chef. The ideal candidate enjoys working for a small company, and thrives in a structured kitchen environment, values teamwork, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.

Schedule:

• Wednesday: 11:00 AM – 4:15 PM
• Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM
• Special events and catering events as required

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Assist with ingredient prep and ensure readiness for service.
• Maintain food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Keep the kitchen clean and organized at all times.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate supply needs.
• Work efficiently and take direction well, contributing to a positive team dynamic.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Cook in a restaurant setting.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and food safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while keeping up with prep work.
• A proactive mindset – enjoys staying ahead of tasks and keeping busy.
• Must have a valid Food Handler’s Certificate.
