Job Description:
Little Barcelona is looking for a friendly, hardworking, and team-oriented individual to join the team as a Server & Kitchen Help. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who loves people, enjoys sales, and takes pride in staying productive throughout their shift. The ideal candidate not only has a positive attitude and is reliable, but is also great with guests and willing to jump in and assist in the kitchen when needed.
Pay is $17.20/hour + tips
Schedule:
- Mondays & Tuesdays: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM to begin when patio opens, early Spring
- Fridays & Saturdays: As per the schedule, with shifts for lunch or dinner service depending on reservations.
- Special Events and Catering events as required
Responsibilities:
- Greet and serve guests with a warm and welcoming attitude.
- Take food and drink orders, make menu recommendations, and upsell when appropriate.
- Ensure tables are clean and organized for guests.
- Assist in the kitchen with basic food prep and plating when required.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and contribute to a positive, focused work environment.
- Keep busy by proactively helping where needed – standing around is not part of the job!
- Collaborate with both the front-of-house and kitchen teams.
Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal skills – enjoys engaging with people.
- A natural salesperson – comfortable recommending dishes and drinks.
- Hardworking and dependable – committed to professionalism and getting the job done.
- Likes to keep busy – takes initiative and stays productive.
- Team player – works well with others and contributes to a smooth workflow.
- Food Handler’s Certificate and Smart Serve Certificate are required.
