KUMON MATH and READING CENTRE
Kumon - North Grenville is looking to hire a new employee for part-time, after-school work. Centre hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 3 – 7 pm. Individual schedules (approximately 8 hours per week) will be determined based on student enrollment, and general availability of all staff.
Start date is as soon as possible. Pay rate is Ontario minimum wage.
Duties
Assist Early Learners (3- 5 years) and Primary Instruction students (5 years and up) in developing their work skills, study skills, and learning the Kumon way.
Assess students’ work effectively and consistently, using Kumon’s unique system of grading.
Other office administration work as required, such as filing or data entry.
Training in both the grading system and learning assistance will be provided.

Necessary Skills
- Strong ability in Math and Reading (English)
- Enjoy working with children of all ages and abilities
- Ability to inspire trust and confidence and motivate students
- Ability to be patient and kind, but firm when necessary
- Ability to model appropriate behaviour and language.
- Reliability, and ability to pay close attention to detail.
Short – listed applicants may be asked to write two Kumon tests, one in each of Reading and Math.
