ROLE POSTING

HFI is a manufacturer of military and consumer pyrotechnic devices. We currently make devices that smoke, flare or make noise.  Our products are manufactured in the Prescott area. We are a company that focuses on the process of continuous improvement through lean manufacturing concepts.

ROLE:                 Quality Technician

 

Member of:     Quality Team

Reports to:      Quality Team Lead

Schedule:        Full Time (Days); 8 hour shift; 7:30am – 4pm; occasional overtime offered

Benefits:                Overtime paid after 8 hours per day;
                              Benefits after 3 months

Key Responsibilities*:

1) Perform testing and quality activities to support manufacturing and R&D
2) Perform data entry, analysis and record keeping per HFI standards
3) Follow detailed standards and update standards as required
4) Maintain equipment and support calibration and PM system as required
5) As assigned, support IMS systems such as calibrations, NCR’s and internal audits
6) Recognize and report quality defects/concerns

 

Qualifications and skills:

·        Minimum high school diploma, college program preferred

·        Experience in a laboratory setting with instrumentation, data analysis (SPC) and/or with quality systems an asset

·        Demonstrated commitment to safety and safety standards

·        Proficient in the use of computers and related technology

·        Proficient with Microsoft Office Suit (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

·        Experience taking pictures and videos and editing files

·        Ability to prepare reports using good documentation practices

·        Demonstrated problem solving and continuous improvement mindset

·        Mechanical aptitude

·        Willing to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-        Criminal background check and two Covid vaccinations are required
