PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

Job Overview:

As a Pharmacy Technician with a strong focus on claims and insurance processing, you will support pharmacists with daily tasks, your primary responsibility will be managing and processing insurance claims and payments. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of prescription insurance claims, from verification to troubleshooting, ensuring patients receive their medications without delays or coverage issues. If you are organized, customer-focused, and have experience in healthcare insurance processes, this is an excellent growth opportunity.

Your Profile:

• A high school diploma or GED is required (additional training in healthcare administration, billing, or pharmacy-related fields is an asset)
• 2+ years experience with a strong understanding of insurance billing systems, claim rejections, and third-party payer systems (e.g., private insurance, government health plans).
• Experience serving long-term facilities and hospitals is considered an asset to the role.
• Strong proficiency in pharmacy management software and claims processing systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple claims and patient queries simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Salary range 47k - 53k
