RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION HANDYMAN/WOMAN

 $30-$35/hour

 Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced handyman/woman to work in the Kemptville area with experience in all aspects of construction and interior/exterior renovations, both commercial and residential.

The successful candidate will have in depth knowledge of all construction techniques used in all stages of residential construction. The candidates should also be knowledgeable in rough carpentry.

You need to be organized and be able to work in a fast-paced environment while completing all facets of installing doors and windows, installing trim and casing, build decks, apply exterior caulking, some back framing, and have an extensive knowledge of home building.

Responsibilities:

Carpentry and framing

Read and interpret drawings and specifications

Fine finishing (trim, lighting installation, etc.)

Installation of doors/frames/hardware

Framing (steel and wood)

Drywall/mudding

General construction

Erect/deconstruct scaffolding

Demolition

Assist trades, suppliers or co-workers where and when required

Qualifications:

Meticulous attention to detail and precise-to-plan quality

Hard working

Ability to work well in a team and on your own

Ability to read and interpret measurements in metric and imperial

Experience working with hand tools

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Able to work in a safe manner while following company safety policies and regulations

Requirements:

 3-5 years’ experience in residential home construction in Canada

Training in WHMIS, Fall Protect, Workers Health & Safety Awareness will be considered an asset but LA Group will provide training if needed.

Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation
