Full Time (Days) Monday to Friday 8 hour shift varies between 5am - 5pm
HFI Pyrotechnics Inc. is a Canadian owned company near Prescott Ont. We manufacture a range of military and consumer non-lethal pyrotechnic devices. We are the newest member of Canada’s Munitions Supply Program, and we have a growing range of products and services and customers from around the world. HFI Pyrotechnics is growing and maintains a culture of continuous improvement throughout its organization. HFI Pyrotechnics is on the ascent, and we are looking for energetic individuals with a positive can-do attitude to help us produce our world-class products.
HFI Pyrotechnics is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Technician to join our team. As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for assembling non-lethal pyrotechnic devices and ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct hands-on assembly
- Assemble products according to specifications
- Inspect products for quality and adherence to specifications
- Perform routine cleaning of equipment and work area
- Responsible for upkeep of appearance standards
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Report any issues or malfunctions to the Team Lead
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and proficiencies in reading and writing English
- Must be 18 years of age by start date
- Must have two Covid Vaccinations
- Potential candidates must be able to complete a criminal background check
- Potential candidates must be prepared to be clean shaven, and be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment, such as an N95 mask, PAPR, Fire retardant coveralls, Lab coats, FR Balaclavas.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Preferred experience working with chemicals
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk on uneven walkways and lift up to 50 lbs.
