As a member of an interdisciplinary team, the dietitian is responsible for providing a range of services, including individual counselling as well as nutrition and health promotion groups for clients. The dietitian will serve clients across the life span and should have a strong understanding of health equity as well as experience in working with diverse populations, including low-income communities and people living with chronic health and/or mental health issues. The dietitian will collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to provide community-based nutrition programs.
- Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
- Three to five years clinical counselling and community nutrition experience
- Experience in program development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
- Proficiency in the use of computers and various EMRs and software applications.
- Experience and comfort working with a diverse and at-risk population.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with health care providers and other stakeholders.
