• Have experience using an e-commerce platform or Point Of Sale software for retail purposes

• Are looking for long-term employment and are willing to work 4-5 days per week, including weekends.

And you would want to…

• Sell high quality products,

• Fulfil online orders, including shipping procedures,

• Serve in-store customers with enthusiasm for our products while making the customer feel like they are part of our family,

• Respond to and handle customer inquiries, requests and concerns in timely and professional manner, over the phone, by email or in person,

• Serve multiple customers at a time in an effective and pleasant manner,

• Process retail transactions on our Point of Sale software,

• Open and close the store along with the team,

• Assist in merchandising of products and store cleanliness,

• Assist in keeping online inventory and website updated,

• Receive new stock according to store procedures,

• Work in an environment where you have the opportunity to learn and grow as a professional retail customer service team member

Additional Information:

• Fabric and sewing machines are heavy. You need to be physically capable of lifting up to 40lbs. 

• Able to stand, move about for an extended period of time and only short rest breaks: should be able to reach, bend, stoop to handle products and be able to walk the two blocks to the post office to deliver online parcels for shipping,

• Business Casual dress code

• Working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Youtube, Canva, Excel,  or are skilled at taking photos and would all be an asset but are not required to fulfil this position effectively.

Watergirl Quilt Co. is a dynamic, fast-growing quilt shop that opened in 2020 on the beautiful shores of the St. Lawrence River in Prescott. We strive to offer customers a 5 star experience when they shop with us for fabrics, notions, patterns, sewing machines and more. Our virtual and in person classes and retreats inspire quilters to be part of our friendly and fun community of people who share our passion and want to keep getting better at their hobby. Our quilt shop is known to be a place where customers feel like they are at home.
