Education: Secondary school diploma. No post secondary education necessary

Experience: Communication, reading, writing and math skills. Must have working knowledge and 3 years experience lumber dressing/finishing. SAWMILL and/or LUMBER YARD EXPERIENCE AN ASSET!

Tasks: Saw, trim and plane rough lumber into dressed lumber of various sizes and various finished products. These include tongue & groove, shiplap, etc. Set up and adjust equipment and replace blades using wrenches, gauges and other hand tools. Clean and maintain equipment and work area. Manage waste and package by-products for sale. Other duties as assigned. Follow company safety protocols and complete training as assigned.

Weight Handling: Physical stamina to lift/carry 50+ pounds
Work Setting: Sawmill Outdoors, all weather (workshop is temperature controlled with heating/air conditioning)
Own Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, hearing protection, safety glasses, work gloves Work
Site Environment: Noisy, Dusty
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Drivers License
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity and fine motor skills, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, standing for extended periods
Personal Suitability: Team player, coachable, independent worker, able to follow instructions and take direction
