This role is a year-round position. The Landscape Construction Crew Member will be offered a Snow Plow Operator or Snow Removal Crew Member position, based on skills and experience, through the snow season.

Summary of Responsibilities & Opportunities:

Operating equipment such as Pick Up Trucks, Trailers, Skid Steer, Tampers, Chain Saw, Quick Cut, Back Pack Blowers, Snow Blowers, Snow Plowing Equipment.

Complete all landscape Construction tasks according to job specifications, in a timely manner, and ensure customer expectations for quality and appearance are met and exceeded.

Landscape Construction tasks – planting flowers, trees.  Sod laying, Asphalt repairs, concrete work, interlocking, Grading ETC.

In the winter season, Operation of snow removal equipment and/or Performing snow removal and de-icing, as necessary, to walks, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas.

Assist in maintenance and repair of tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings, greenhouses, fences, or benches, using hand or power tools.

Responsible for accurate and timely use of company software to track job progress, employee hours, vehicle circle checks, required equipment maintenance, etc.

Represent the company professionally through effective and courteous communications with the customers and their patrons.

Adhere to all Corporate Policies, the Occupational Health & Safety Act, the Corporations Health & Safety Policy and all other relevant legislation as it applies to the workplace.

Other duties as required

Qualifications and Skills:

Reliable, demonstrates attention to detail, and willing to work outside in all weather conditions

Some experience in landscape maintenance and/or snow removal is preferred

Demonstrates basic ability to read/interpret blueprints

Personable, positive attitude and a great work ethic

Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing needs of a rapidly growing company

Basic plant knowledge preferred – the ability to identify plants and understand growing conditions

Ability to quickly learn industry-specific computer software applications

A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00 to $22.00 /hour
