JOB SUMMARY:

The Intermediate Accountant focuses on supporting Corporate Finance as well as the Aftermarket businesses of Engineered Solutions (ES) and TIGG and works closely with the Assistant Corporate Controller and the Business Unit Controllers for ES and TIGG to ensure timely and accurate financial information is prepared.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ DAILY TASKS:

  • Aid the Assistant Corporate Controller as it relates to, but not limited to:
  • Completion of monthly and annual consolidated financial statements for Newterra Holdings LLC
  • Completion of the monthly Performance report
  • Completion of the consolidated working papers
  • Fixed Asset management of the consolidated portfolio
  • Monthly reconciliation of the continuity schedules
  • Administration of the master capital approvals vs. actual spend
  • Preparation of the monthly capital review slide
  • Own the Monthly consolidated financial forecast
  • Cashflow and treasury corporate responsibilities including but not limited to
  • Daily review of cash balances and actioning any items needing attention
  • Daily review of cash sweep/DACA reporting
  • Preparation of the bi-weekly consolidated cashflow
  • Adherence and compliance to our debt and interest payment schedule
  • Standard manufacturing costing analysis
  • Margin review of all projects and lines of business, analyzing variances between budget and actual
  • Month-end reporting improvements and preparation
  • Inventory and Balance Sheet analysis
  • Aid Assistant Corporate Controller and in ensuring adherence to Newterra’s internal control policies and other ad hoc request
  • Annually, work with auditors and tax advisors as directed by the Assistant Corporate Controller
  • Daily bank reconciliations and monthly payroll reconciliations for INC & LTD

Required Skills:

  • Professional accounting designation (or working towards)
  • 3-5 years of management accounting experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Adaptable, flexible, and demonstrated perseverance
  • Microsoft Office with advanced skills in excel
  • Ability to work independently
  • Organizational and leadership abilities
  • Energetic, positive, enthusiastic traits
  • Experience with Oracle and ERP software considered an asset
