Licensed Mechanic/Equipment Operator

The Township of Elizabethtown-Kitley is seeking a Permanent/Fulltime Licensed Mechanic / Equipment Operator.

The responsibilities of the position will include the repair and maintenance of gas and diesel vehicles and equipment, developing maintenance plans and processes, assisting with budgeting and fleet replacement plans and operating a variety of equipment including Class D vehicles, backhoes, graders and excavators. The employee will be required to have a minimum of a class DZ license.

Preferred candidates will have experience in a municipal or similar work environment and a mechanics license valid for both motor vehicle and truck/coach, diesel endorsement preferred. Copies of the Job Description are available at the Township Office.

The compensation for the position is $52,594 to $63,081 per year (currently under review) based on the experience of the successful candidate. The Township offers a comprehensive benefit package and participates in the OMERS pension program.
