This role is a year-round full-time position. The Landscape Construction Foreman is responsible for the construction of Hardscape and Softscape Landscape Projects and Property Enhancements and will be offered a Snow Plow Operator or Supervisor position through the snow season.

Summary of Responsibilities & Opportunities:

Organize and motivate Landscape Construction crew members to drive efficiency and exceed customer expectations for overall quality and service experience.

Monitor and ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed by all crew members, including efficient use of software applications, compliance with all safety standards, etc.

Supporting Operations Manager and President with preparation of cost estimates.

Up-selling extras to existing customers and ensure all job changes and extras are accurately recorded for customer billing.

Responsible for ensuring landscape construction projects are completed according to specifications; meet and exceed customer and company standards with respect to quality and appearance; and are completed both on time and on budget.

Deliver the highest quality of service to customers through effective on-site communication with customers, as well as daily site inspections for exactness, completeness, and conformance to company policies and procedures.

Daily communication with Operations Manager to provide update on project progress, material purchase requirements and any required equipment maintenance.

Timely review and tracking of employee labour hours and materials for each project to eliminate overrun and to ensure crew profitability targets are met.

Perform regular maintenance on the crew’s small tools and equipment to ensure it remains in good working order.

Perform on-site training of new crew members to ensure work is being performed to our customers’ standards and company standards.

Responsible for accurate and timely completion of all administrative and record keeping systems by all crew members including time sheets, charts, weekly schedules, vehicle inspection reports and work order schedules.

Operation of snow removal equipment including wheel loaders, ag tractors, skid steers, and pick up trucks. And other duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

This is a leadership position – we are looking for self-starters with good judgment and decision making, and the ability to motivate others!

Multiple years experience in landscape construction and snow equipment operations

Excellent project, planning, change and time management capabilities

Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a great work ethic

Flexibility and willingness to adapt to needs of a rapidly growing company

CLT certification or a degree in horticulture preferred or willingness to complete necessary certifications

Strong plant knowledge – the ability to identify plants and understand growing conditions

The ability to read and execute from drawings

Ability to quickly learn industry specific business software applications

A valid driver’s license with a good driving record
