ECG Inspector/Packer - Contract

Job Description:

Cardinal Health is looking to hire Inspector - Packers for the ECG Department. These are 3 month contract positions.

Visually inspect, pouch and package electrodes in accordance to a set of guidelines of specifications

• Ensure use of the proper components for the products in the work cell
• Visually inspect each electrode to ensure quality, according to a set of guidelines and specifications
• Insert proper quantity per package and put through sealing machine (referring to packaging specifications)
• Ensure condition of pouch, printing and codes are legible and match the product being packaged
• Label cartons with the correct bar code labels as per code and product
• Grade pouches as required to ensure proper printing/quality requirements and legibility
• Package pouches from inspection into cartons at various work cells
• Load cartons onto skids and transport completed orders
• Remove and bring in skids for release and new order setup
• Completion and accuracy of target boards (hourly boards)
• Ensure required documentation is completed during the shift
• Rework duties as assigned for any product requiring rework and/or re-inspection

• Keep working area clean - Ensure a clean & orderly work cell by following the 5S standards to improve overall efficiency of operations

Qualifications

• You preferably have a High school diploma or equivalent
• You are detail orientated and take pride in producing work with high accuracy
• You enjoy a fast paced environment and being active while working in both a sitting and standing position
• You are comfortable with lifting up to 10 lbs and work in repetitive motion
• You are able to visually inspect products for a prolonged period of time
• You appreciate working in team environment where clear communication and quality control are crucial
• You have the ability to work in 24/7 environment
• You have general knowledge of an industrial/manufacturing environment
• You have some computer skills
