Position: Office Assistant
The Office Assistant will be responsible for providing a wide variety of tasks supporting the staff as needed and contributing to the efficiency of the day-to-day operations in the office. As a main point of contact for our members and business partners, this individual will be responsible for providing initial responses to standard inquiries and redirecting other inquiries to the appropriate party.
The Office Assistant must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines and work effectively in a team environment or on their own as required. This individual will also have good knowledge of office practices and procedures as well as excellent problem solving and client service skills.
Duties and responsibilities
Reception, answering phones, mail and shipping, general office duties (photocopying, filing, etc), data entry and other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Completion of Secondary School (Grade 12) or equivalent
Experience in an administrative and/or client services related field
Languages, Certificates & Licenses
English, spoken and written required
French, spoken and written preferred
Microsoft Word & Excel, Databases
Office practices & procedures
Office equipment ie: copiers, postage meter, printers
Competencies & Skills
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Use of tact, discretion and confidentiality, combined with reliability and good judgement
