We are looking for a Sanitation specialist to join our growing team within the cannabis sector with an exclusive focus on female health & wellness. We exist to help women feel their best. We believe that cannabis is perfectly suited for women’s unique wellness needs. We are seeking a Sanitation specialist that takes pride in their work! The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in a cleaning & janitorial environment, ideally in a Pharma type facility environment. The Sanitation specialist will work closely with the facilities team to ensure all office spaces; shared spaces and production spaces are cleaned in accordance to our standard operations procedures and Health Canada requirements. The Sanitation specialist will report to the Director, Cultivation and must be able to work half days 5 days per week and be comfortable working in greenhouse working conditions. Successful candidates will have a strong work ethic and precise attention to detail.

Duties & responsibilities

·         Cleaning process equipment by dismantling and reassembly of parts

·         Cleaning and upkeep of offices, public areas, washrooms, storage spaces, processing rooms, employee cafeteria and locker rooms,

·         Recording of all cleaning and sanitation tasks completion as per the company’s standard operating procedures and timelines

·         Uses chemicals according to company guidelines

·         Cleaning and sanitizing of production equipment and facilities

·         Proper use and care of equipment and report defects

·         Reporting all maintenance defects in the facility

·         Must work independently or in a team setting

·         Must be able to interact well with others

·         Must be able to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as business dictates

·         Must be dependable and punctual, Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications and Education:

·         Commercial cleaning experience preferred

·         Ability to use computerized equipment and cleaning machines

·         Grade 12 diploma; Diploma in Horticulture or equivalent would be an asset. However, an interest in plants and their maintenance is a must

·         Experience in a regulated and highly compliant environment is desired (i.e. food industry, pharmaceutical)

·         Must be able to carry & lift to 30lbs

·         Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

·         Multi-tasking; attention to detail in skilled & precision work; exceptional organizational and time management skills to ensure consistency of product

·         Ability to work in a team or independently with little to no supervision

·         Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a team environment as well as independently- must be able to speak English

·         Ability to stay focused and complete redundant and routine tasks

·         Basic computer & math skills a must

·         Must have own reliable transportation
