Experienced Carpenters or Carpenter Apprentices

JOIN OUR TEAM! LOCKWOOD BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION is a busy Custom Home Builder located in the Kemptville area. Due to client demand we require Carpenters or Carpenter Apprentices to join our Team. You will work alongside our Framing Crew and occasionally with our Custom Wood Shop. We require a candidate who has a solid working knowledge of the Construction industry and home building process with the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Must be able to work independently or as part of a Team and follow instructions. Must have a good work ethic and take pride in your work. If carpentry is your passion, we would like to talk to you. We offer a comprehensive Carpentry Apprenticeship package.

Qualifications:

• valid clean Canadian driver's license and own transportation.
• Demonstrate skills in the safe operation of hand and power tools.
• Familiarity in preparing material take-offs and reading blueprints.
• Ability to work under time constraints.
• Experience in Finish Carpentry, attention to detail.
• Experience in the building and erection of temporary and permanent partitions using a variety of building materials.
• Practice site cleanliness.
• Practice and demonstrate an understanding of safety principles and practices.
• Must have own hard hat, work boots and tools.
• Working at Heights Certification is preferable.

Job Duties:

• working with various hand and power tools.
• frame walls, build decks, finish work and various tasks associated with the job as required.
• Comply with all Lockwood policies and procedures as well as Ministry requirements.
• Work under time constraints and meet specific guidelines.
