First Stop Tool & Equipment Rentals Ltd. is a family-run business operating in Kemptville since 1994. We've got all the tools and equipment you need to get the job done! We enjoy providing the best service and giving contractors and handymen advice to help them get their job done efficiently. We are seeking a motivated Office Manager to assist with day-to-day operations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Exceptional client service skills with 2 years in the rental industry
  • Knowledge of tools and building an asset
  • Knowledgeable in Stihl and Echo products
  • Capable of handling high demand situations
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Great communication skills in person and on the phone
  • Bilingual French and English an asset 
  • Punctual, reliable and motivated
  • Cash handling experience
  • Driver's license with clean driver abstract

CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Answer phones, greet and assist customers find the right tool for the job
  • Accurately quote hourly, daily, weekly and monthly rates
  • Reserve equipment in the reservation book (*make sure you have the time and duration of rental recorded*)
  • Check reservation book and prepare list of return rental equipment service/get ready list and make sure equipment is organized and ready for the following day
  • Learn and teach proper use of tools to clients
  • Help load and unload equipment (customer is fully responsible for strapping equipment in their vehicle - we are not liable for this)

ADMINISTRATIVE

  • Create rental contracts both on computer and manually, close when returned
  • Complete product registration and warranty claims
  • Create new customers in a computer system
  • Record credit card numbers on contract if new customer
  • Record credit card numbers in reservation book if new customer or renting a loader/any equipment valued over $100/day
  • Prepare bookings for 2 weeks in advance without conflicts
  • Take parts orders from customers and back shop
  • Prepare truck driver itinerary along with all rental contracts for driver
  • Respond to email communications from customers in a timely manner
  • Assist with Social Media Campaigns - Facebook and working knowledge of other platforms will be considered an asset

EQUIPMENT/SHOP MAINTENANCE

  • Inform mechanic of needed repairs
  • Oversee maintenance of shop to be clutter-free and organized
  • Maintain clean yard and parking lot
  • Stock service area
  • Organize equipment by seasons
  • Keep merchandise organized and easy to reach when stocking
