Position is to complete various duties on commercial and residential construction sites. Training will be provided as required but previous construction experience is an asset. Ability to perform different task as each day and job can be different.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Site clean up
- Assisting carpenters with various duties
- Material handling
- Light demolition
- Rough carpentry work
- Material pick up and delivery
- Some shoveling, raking and using wheel barrows
- Valid clean drivers license an asset
- Ability to follow instruction and obey rules
- Ability to work with tools
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Ability to work outdoors and at heights
- Ability to perform physically challenging work
- Provide own safety boots
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and WHMIS
- Some flexibility with work hours
Schedule:
- Full-time student opportunity
- Monday to Friday
COVID-19 considerations:
- We have our own Government regulated COVID-19 measures in place on all job sites and in Office
Experience:
- Carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
