Tool Sharpening Assistant

Goldsmith Saw is a family run business providing Industrial Cutting Tool Sharpening services all across Eastern Ontario. They specialize in meeting the needs of many manufacturing sites, supporting and supplying the industry with sales and industrial sharpening.  With over 50 years experience, Goldsmith Saw has been providing their customers with top quality sharpening. By combining their extensive experience in this industry with CNC grinding machines, they are able to keep their customers’ tooling costs at an absolute minimum, producing the highest quality sharpening, ensuring optimal tool life.

Goldsmith Saw is looking to hire a Tool Sharpening Assistant

Required skills:

·        Good organizational skills

·        Able to work independently without supervision

·        Self starter with plenty of initiative to do what needs to be done

·        Enhanced safety awareness of self and others

·        Able to work in a team environment

Responsibilities Include:

·        Preparing work orders and carefully labelling customers’ products

·        Preparing items to be sharpened by cleaning and examining for repair work

·        Keeping accurate records to coincide with the work orders

·        Preparing finished work for return shipment to customers

·        Maintaining a clean and safe workspace

.        Hours are flexible to accommodate availability, can be full time or part time
