South Grenville Beacon - A Community Newspaper serving the South Grenville Marketplace
We are immediately looking for LOCAL Freelance Community Writers/Ambassadors that would have background in professional writing for Newspaper/Magazine or Feature Writing experience with skills in interviewing and knowledge of subjects aforementioned. Writers must be able to handle multiple assignments and meet hard and fast deadlines. Must be able to write multiple community-oriented articles. Photography skills would be an asset as pictures would need to accompany the article.
Editor would assign word content depending upon story assignment.
Writers would also be familiar with social media such as Website content /Facebook/Twitter/Instagram and be able to post some separate content on such platforms as needed.
We are looking for Writers that have experience or interest in the following:
Municipal Government/Council/Non-Profit Organizations
Local News/Personal Features
Agriculture & Farming News
Sports- Senior Hockey and Junior Hockey and outdoor sports
We are looking for writer(s) that can cover Prescott & South Grenville Area & Iroquois Municipality.
WRITERS MUST LIVE IN THE AREA/MARKETPLACE.
Writers would be compensated per Article & Car Allowance, and be given writing credit in the Newspaper.
This is an excellent opportunity to continue an individual's writing skills and a ground floor opportunity to contribute to your community in a New Community Newspaper to serve as the New Voice for South Grenville and its residents.
Writers must have access to their own laptops or computers/internet access and a cell phone with a vehicle to cover assignments within the designated territory.
