Cardinal Health Canada is currently seeking Warehouse Supervisor for our 24/7 hour site operation located in Gananoque location. The primary function of the role is to lead, coach, and develop production teams to efficiently deliver “Essential to Care” Medical Devices within the highest safety and quality standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Actively lead, coach, guide teams to achieve manufacturing targets within Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Ensure your team is trained, qualified and certified (OJTC) to operate their respective equipment
  • Schedule teams for maximum effectiveness
  • Identify and manage staffing levels to meet supply chain requirements
  • Maintaining open and respectful communication with employees and conduct regular department meetings. Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring and recognition to the team.
  • Responsible for time and attendance management for team
  • Proactively performance manage employees to ensure accountability of high standards for Safety, Quality, Attendance and Reliability in alignment with standardized KPIs.
  • Ensure all employees understand and uphold the company values and conduct expectations.
  • Conduct performance and coaching discussions including formal performance reviews
  • Collaborate with respective teams and other site leaders to optimize supply chain throughput and ensure on-time support to production requirements
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting shift/team KPIs
  • Identify, lead, and support continuous improvement opportunities in process, equipment, and systems
  • Accountable for meeting cGMP standards, maintain and improve plant floor appearance/cleanliness utilizing 5S methodologies
  • Collaborate on Operational Excellence initiatives
  • Create and maintain an engaged, safe and productive work environment

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Knowledge of cGMPs as it relates to supply chain, logistics and manufacturing practices preferred
  • 3-5 years of previous leadership experience preferably within a warehouse, distribution or manufacturing environment
  • General knowledge of production systems, operational methodologies, processes and equipment with experience using AS400 and SAP is preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification is an asset
  • Must be able to work shift work, possible 8 and/or 12-hour shifts
  • Proven leadership, problem solving, team building and stress management skills.
  • Ability to interpret and provide training on policies and procedure.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and group presentation skills).
