PUBLIC WORKS OPERATOR 2 – PERMANENT FULL TIME
QUALIFICATIONS AND DUTIES
Minimum Grade 12 education
Valid DZ driver’s licence in good standing
Operation of tandem dump truck equipped with plow, wing, sander equipment, and other related equipment with winter driving/operating experience on municipal roads is preferred
Formal education and experience in operating a backhoe/grader safely and effectively is considered an asset
Mechanical and welding aptitude to perform minor service, maintenance and repair of assigned equipment is considered an asset
Work can be physical in nature and requires work in all types of weather conditions
Lifting on average 50 lbs and performing manual labour as required
Able to work independently or in a group setting
Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and other employees
Capable of taking direction, completing tasks successfully and also able to accept constructive criticism
Required to work over-time and flexible hours when needed
Other related duties as assigned
