Bilingual Early Childhood Educator

NGCPLC - Centre Éducatif Rivière Rideau is seeking a Bilingual Early Childhood Educator for a Maternity Leave contract

We are looking for a caring, compassionate and bilingual Early Childhood Educator who has experience working in a licensed childcare. We are committed to providing top quality care and education for children who are enrolled in our program. Our program is growing, and this contract has the potential of becoming a permanent position.

Required Hours:
• 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
• Maternity leave contract.
• Contract begins on September 04, 2018

Major responsibilities of the position:
• Plan and implement a high quality, French language childcare program for Preschool aged children
• Work collaboratively with a professional team of Early Childhood Educators and be a full participant in the center’s activities

Qualifications:
• Registration, with the College of Early Childhood Educators, is an asset
• Ability to communicate in French and English
• Previous experience in a licensed childcare setting
• The ideal candidate will have a working understanding of the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA) and “How Does Learning Happen?”
• Valid First Aid and CPR/AED Level “C” Certificate
• Up to date record of immunizations
• Current Vulnerable Sector Check
• The ideal candidate will be confident and positive, have some experience and understating of Reggio Emilia and Forest School philosophies and be experienced in behaviour management/problem solving strategies
• We are looking for motivated and energetic, resourceful and creative, caring and responsible personalities
Compensation:
• Starting at $17.00/hour and will commensurate with experience.
