Experienced Dispatcher

HERE WE GROW AGAIN!

Shouldice Trucking is seeking a reliable and motivated DISPATCHER to work in our Prescott office (Please note training will take place in our Ottawa office until September 2018). This person will be responsible for coordinating deliveries so that our customers’ needs are met.

This is a full-time position with an on-call component. Candidates must be flexible to work days, evenings and weekends as required.   

Duties include but not limited to:

• Scheduling assignments and co-ordinating drivers, crews and equipment
• Answering incoming calls and communicating information to drivers and clients
• Keeping track of shipments and all documentation; troubleshooting document issues (invoices, BOL’s, customs)
• Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices
• Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations

Qualifications include:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
• Strong troubleshooting skills are a must
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in dispatch or transportation industry would be considered an asset
• AZ or DZ licence would be considered an asset
