Cardinal Deli is searching for an experienced Deli / Kitchen Worker with the Food Safety Certificate. The position is a hands-on job involving customer service, cash, open/ close, cleaning, stocking, as well as using the meat slicer, meat scales, making sandwiches and subs.
The ideal candidate will know their way around a kitchen and be able to follow recipes, adjusting quantities as required.
An understanding of Arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages), WHMIS and Health and Safety protocols are required.
The traits of the ideal team member include: friendly, outgoing, good memory, flexible, creative thinking, great communication skills, integrity, and an eye for detail.
The position involves long periods of standing, bending, twisting, reaching, ability to lift up to 20 kg. Availability immediately.
The position currently involves weekday and weekend shifts between the hours of 7:45 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. but mostly weekends. Shifts can change without notice to adapt to changing business conditions.
